Qualified dog trainer and the current president of the Pet Professional Guild Australia. I'm interested in dog behaviour and the human-animal bond. Happy Dog Tails' mission is to empower dog owners to build stronger, more meaningful bonds with their canine companions.
Seamus sparked a lifelong passion for learning about dog behaviour and training.
My journey into the dog training world has been a lifelong adventure, but my beloved Lab mix, Seamus, truly set me on the path to becoming a dedicated dog trainer. At a young age, Seamus experienced a distressing encounter that left him fearful of children.
Determined to help him, I sought advice, and a compassionate veterinarian introduced me to the power of positive reinforcement methods. With the guidance and encouragement of experienced positive trainers, Seamus overcame his fears and thrived.
His transformation was remarkable; not only did he grow confident around children, but he also blossomed into a performing stunt dog and a Delta Therapy Dog, bringing joy to many alongside his best friend, Toby.

Although Seamus, Toby, and my one-in-a-million girl Maxi (a Red Heeler x Border Collie) have since passed on, their legacy lives in my heart and work.
Today, I share my life with Jack, a spirited Border Collie who happens to be deaf. Jack has opened up a whole new realm of learning for me, and through him, I continue to expand my understanding of dog training. My experiences with Jack inspire me to help other dog owners navigate their unique journeys.
As a dog trainer, I aim to foster relationships rooted in trust, understanding, and positive reinforcement by equipping owners with the skills and knowledge they need. Together, we can help your dog reach their full potential, creating a harmonious and joyful life for both of you.
